Often dyer sheets are used for the scent alone, bet you didn't know that it makes your clothing more flammable and a lot of people have reactions to the chemicals rubbing on their skin all day. Try this, at the end of the drying or before the cool down mode starts take a clean rag or designated cloth and put a few drops of essential oil on it and toss it in the dyer. Let it run for the last minute or just close the door and leave it warm clothes for a few minutes. Your clothes will smell exactly the way you want them to. Do this to soon and you'll lose the scent, essential oils are very sensitive to do much heat.
